Excellent service, friendly staff! Ordered a chicken salad, ancient grounds pizza panini, and a couple coffees. The drip coffee and the espresso were amazing, the barista was on point. I asked about the Main Street, right there, there’s a couple of shops I was curious about and the staff was more than willing to share their thoughts after I inquired. Good job! I would recommend this place!

Traveling through Aztec, on a road trip adventure, we stopped at Ancient Grounds Cafe for a yummy sounding sandwich. Much to our surprise, we stumbled into their new weekend night dinner menu of pasta and garlic bread. The homemade alfredo sauce is heavenly! So much better than a sandwich and so so glad we stopped!!! The chef and staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a nice chat. Nothing better than great food and great company, in a cozy cafe. Thanks, Chef!

New restaurant with made to order food and coffee! The special was affordable and delicious! Full menu all day, so I was able to grab a bacon egg and cheese biscuit fresher than any fast food around! I could feel the quality ingredients didn't leave me sluggish like processed foods. Choose Ancient Grounds if you are on the go, too busy to cook or dieting.

Customer service, food and atmosphere was great. Placed an order to go via text and got it within 15 min. Ordered the Mystic Creation and Prickly Bird. Definitely want to try some other items out. Would recommend.

How did we not try this sooner? You can’t really call this cafe a hidden gem since it’s right on the corner of Main St. and Chaco in Aztec, but it is definitely a gem. We have driven by so many times and have never stopped in. It wasn’t until recently we noticed they were temporarily closed for a remodel so we made it a point to visit once they reopened. We stopped by today after church. You can’t tell from the outside but once we stepped inside they were busy! Thankfully there were a couple of tables available so we were able to get seated right away. The nice young lady who greeted us let us let us know it would be a couple of minutes for coffee as they were finishing up brewing a fresh batch. Within a couple of minutes we had a hot mug of delicious coffee in our hands, and I mean MUG, not a tiny little 8 ounce coffee cup. My husband ordered the breakfast bowl which came with deliciously seasoned potatoes, eggs, bacon/sausage, and cheese. I ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy which came with the most perfectly fluffy biscuits, amazing homemade sausage gravy, loaded with bacon, eggs, and cheese. My plate was so huge I left completely stuffed , my husband had to help me finish. We will definitely be back, I’m already looking forward to it. Highly recommend!

Fantastic food! Had biscuits and gravy and burrito with gravy. So good! Could use a busser to clear tables or a barista to make drinks and bus. The waitress was wonderful. Just needs a little help to make the service quicker.

My new favorite place to eat in Aztec! I've dined in for sandwiches and picked up breakfast to-go. Both experiences were great! I loved the ability to text in my order, and they were more than willing to meet me at the front door to complete payment since I was walking my dog. Lemonade and Iced Chai were awesome. All food was GREAT, I especially love how many vegetarian items they have. Can't wait to go back and try more things!
